By projecting 3D holograms on the visual field, Microsoft’s HoloLens has been helping plastic surgeons in the operating room. However, the software made it difficult to get the hologram to line up precisely with the patient.

In this video, Rod J. Rohrich, MD, Editor-in-Chief of "Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery," explains the authors’ proposed HoloLens ‘fix’ to improve its use in plastic surgery.
